The purpose of ReCap Finance is to capitalize on the opportunity of the dislocation between capital and project – where we make capital available to underserved or capital-constrained sectors and markets.
Recap Finance creates value by using our accumulated experience to identify and finance highly profitable opportunities for asset finance within clean energy, thus bridging the gap between financiers and clean energy installations.
ReCap Finance take the most attractive asset finance opportunities from our advisory business and fund them in our own right, on an asset finance basis, resulting in accelerated project implementation and attractive returns for our investors.
ReCap Finance work on a risk-sharing basis to ensure that our interests are fully aligned with our customers and partners.
ReCap Finance's competitive advantage is its in-depth knowledge of the clean energy sector from both a technical and financing perspective. This is built upon to pillars, both of which are critical to our success.
- Financial structuring: our team includes over a hundred years of accumulated finance experience, where this knowledge and skill set allow us to successfully create and manage financing structures that fall outside of what the traditional banking sector can offer.
- Deal flow: we have a well-developed network of technology providers, project developers and advisors, which gives us access to a large flow, from which we can pick the most attractive projects to finance, either directly or through joint venture partnerships with the technology providers.
At ReCap, we form partnerships with both technology providers and project developers. By combining these two networks, we create value for both: we help technology providers find new customers for their products, and we help project developers source technology they need to implement their projects.
ReCap is driven by a passion to realize profitable projects that have significant environmental benefits. We are now working on a pipeline of over 130 renewable energy and energy efficiency projects on five continents, under different stages of implementation.
